Hida Takayama Teddy Bear Eco Village, 飛騨高山 テディベア エコビレッジ

Hida Takayama Teddy Bear eco village is a teddy bear themed museum in Takayama. The building is a 180-year-old gassho-zukuri style farmhouse, a traditional style frequently found in Gifu prefecture. Its located around 1.7km/1mile away from Takayama Station.

We decided to take the bicycle as our hostel offered bicycle rent for ¥700/day. So we set out for cycling in clear early spring weather with temperature of 10° C (yes, not exactly smart thing to do for a pair of tropical creatures). But the view was definitely worth it.

We got there around 4PM paid the ¥600 entrance fee and greeted by two large teddy bears.

Then we were treated with various teddy bears of all size and age

I tried asking this guy for directions around Takayama. But he just put up his silly face

After we’ve finished exploring the museum, we went out to the cafe next door. Teddy Bear Eco Village Cafe. I don’t remember what we had (was almost 3 years ago) but I did remember after we got out the cafe walking to our bicycles. One of the waitress was calling us while running. Turns out we accidentally left ¥1 in the cafe. Yes. ¥1. Thank you Teddy Bear Eco Village!!!
