Soma sushi is one of our friend’s “ceritified” delicious restaurant in Houston. Even though the name says it’s a sushi place, it’s their ramen that captivated our hearts.

Most of my friends recommends the Texas Ramen a tonkotsu based ramen, advertised with local farm pork and chicken broth. It comes with BBQ pork belly, shiitake mushrooms, corns, green onions, spinach, wakame, chili thread, cilantro and eggs. The ramen is those thin noodle types, my preferred type of noodle. On my first try, it was so delicious that me and my friend decided to get a to go box because we couldn’t finish it. We used the broth for later.
We ordered some beef. Melts in your mouth.

My friend tried the beef udon. It has NY strip beef slices, shiitake, green onions, spinach, wakame, fish cake and sesame seeds. It was ok. A bit bland to our Indonesian tongue. Also I’m not much of an udon fan.
We also tried their sushi. I don’t remember what it’s called but it has salmon and black pepper on it.

The best that we have that night was the Spicy Miso Ramen. Savory and spicy. It has pork belly, shiitake, enoki, green onions, spinach, wakame, habanero, chili powder, menma, and egg. The three of us ended up sharing this one as we a liked it so much.
The ramen’s price wise isn’t that expensive. $14-19 a bowl. However their sushi is a bit pricey. For parking, you’ll have to drop it off at the complimentary valet as parking at the area is a bit of a premium. Definitely will return here.
